2026 Program Changes/Additions
Program Stipend:
- Boehringer Ingelheim will provide funding of $6,500 for each position awarded (up to a maximum of 4 students). This remains a matching grant – any students funded by Boehringer Ingelheim must be matched by the participating school.
International Program:
- We are continuing the program for students from international veterinary schools. If you choose to host one of these students, please note that funding will be granted in addition to the funding each school receives through this application process. You will be informed in early 2026 of the names of the students who are authorized by their schools to apply for the program. Only those students that are authorized by participating schools will be sponsored by Boehringer Ingelheim.
Travel & Registration for the Veterinary Scholars Symposium:
- In 2026, Boehringer Ingelheim will fund travel and registration to the Veterinary Scholars Symposium for a maximum of four Boehringer-funded scholars per school. Schools may continue to send more students by securing funding from an alternate source for travel and registration.
Please pay attention to the questionnaire regarding contact information related to the payment process. Previous participating schools will need to provide their Boehringer Ingelheim Vendor ID. Your school’s Vendor ID will be provided in an email along with your application link.
